taman_ga-center_1 Community, Spirituality - Ecology - Quality of Life and Joy for Life

In these modern times, there is one point that almost all are in agreement with - new concepts of community are badly needed!

In the previous century, there were a number of idealistic projects regarding new life concepts that, founded on the basis of various spiritual movements, began full of idealism and hope. Despite all of the relatively depressing results that came out of these, the idea of new life concepts in connection with spiritual commitment should - in our opinion - not be allowed to fail. Perhaps the time has simply not yet been ripe up until now. In any case, we personally would not like to give up the dream of a community aimed at spiritual development that is grounded in a shared philosophy and the desire to look beyond the narrow horizons of competition and selfishness. In keeping with this, we present some of our ideas here regarding how we envision an approach of this type.
Nevertheless, we also consider it very important not to set the standards too high from the outset so as not to provoke the sudden bursting onto the scene of shadow aspects. On the contrary, it seems important to keep an eye on these from the very start. The people of today are under tremendous pressure and all over the world the act of living together turns out to be rather problematic. In the freely-chosen living contexts of cities, which generally evolve largely out of economic considerations, there are as a rule only isolated, ad hoc attempts at cooperation, and typically these take place only in the interests of simplifying the lives of those working together or are largely promoted by economic interests. In cases where other more humane or outright idealistic approaches are selected, the result is that they quickly lead to exactly the opposite: in this respect, they are similar to those marriages which are sworn with fiery passion in front of a priest only to not so uncommonly end in ice-cold hatred in front of a divorce court judge. In line with this, the concept of shadow aspects would have to be taken into consideration from the outset in order to avoid quickly succumbing to the mechanisms of projection since this leads to all problems simply being projected onto the outside world and none being solved within oneself anymore. The concept of resonance would also have to be something that was clear and well-known to the inhabitants of such a community in order for them to be able to recognize that a certain inner logic had brought them together, and that this is something from which they could grow, rather than exhausting their energies in internal conflicts.

An eco-village with a spiritual basis of life, building upon the Laws of Fate and the Shadow Principle remains one of our more important common life dreams: a village of self-responsible people who want to grow and evolve, whose life energy is enhanced through meditation, a healthy vegan diet, living with awareness in nature as well as sensible and sensual movement and exercise, whose common discussions not only provide joy and meaningful activity, but also inspiration and the necessary finances. Under the motto: “We are merely guests on Earth”, we can practise applying this in a small, exemplary community, in which we orient the rules of living together more towards Karma-based philosophies than towards the drive for profit, although in effect it might be precisely this which could result in profit for all involved. The spiritual goal would of course be clear and common to all; the way there, however, would most certainly be left up to each individual. In keeping with the Laws of Fate and the Shadow Principle, the community would have to develop the ability to protect itself from the inside out against sectarians and their accompanying fanaticism. In any case, it should nowadays not only be merely conceivable, but also definitely realizable for like-minded, spiritually-oriented people to get together in a beautiful location set among well-preserved natural and cultivated landscapes. In keeping with this, it should also be just as realizable to live in environmentally-friendly houses and apartments, which thanks to technology that has long since been available, not only make it possible to save energy but also to generate it, and on top of this, it should be equally realizable to ensure the availability of nourishing food based on organic farming that is not only healthy, but also delicious. Similarly, facilities such as a communal cinema along with an extensive film collection no longer represent a major technological challenge. A beautiful communal swimming pool offering the possibility of modern water therapies as opposed to many smaller pools is simply a question of space; having rooms such as a meditation room with a suitable field for promoting development that continually gains in strength over time and that is complemented by suitable sheltered spots in nature such as a nature sanctuary, as well as rooms for massages and even space for a Samadhi Tank are also all no longer utopian ideas. In the same way that the world does not belong to us, the house that we occupy could ultimately also never belong to us. The residents could therefore come together as tenants and try together to make the best of themselves, their own life and that of the community.

There would be no place for excuses here, since everyone would know the rules in the form that Ruediger Dahlke has recently presented them in what are undoubtedly his most important books. It is no coincidence that “The Laws of Fate – Rules For the Game of Life: Polarity, Resonance and Consciousness” and “The Shadow Principle” have appeared at the same time as the founding of Taman Ga, and that also at this time, Ruediger Dahlke is in the process of ending his series of seminars on Archetypal Medicine, which were strongly based on this knowledge. In this way, this knowledge will - hopefully – form a new spiritual basis for the developing community in Taman Ga, who will live together from 2011 onwards. The community will, however, also invite guests for short stays so that, in addition to the relevant course topics in various seminars, these visitors can truly take in and get a feeling for the concept.

If we don’t dream of utopias, they will never come true. And if only one person has a dream, it will remain a dream for ever. If, however, many people have a dream, it can, as is well-known, become a new reality.

In this sense, we continue to dream and feel ourselves to be closer to this dream than ever. Even if at the moment, there are just a few of us, and we’re surrounded by more houses that are badly in need of renovation than by people, as well as by a huge amount of work, the prospects are nevertheless good.
