Yoga & Meditation

Yoga as a lifelong path

The three pillars of yoga give strength to all those who practise it. The physical exercises (asanas), coupled with the breathing exercises (pranayama) and the process of reflection (meditation) comprise the full experience.

"... If someone is looking for good health, ask first if he or she is prepared in future to avoid the causes of illness."

Sokrates

Rita Fasel is happy to put together a private exercise program, which in combination with the accompanying documentation, will enable you after one or two hours of training to practise effectively at home by yourself. The wealth of knowledge gained from over 30 years of experience with various yoga directions acts as a treasure trove for maintaining the health of the dwelling of the body.
The most optimal time for exercising is the early morning. At this time of the day, the mind is still calm and focussed, it has been several hours since the last meal and the body is rested. In any case, exercise should be done regularly, and it is better to do this daily for a brief period rather than once a week for a long period. Enjoy the opportunity to take a breather and to come back to one’s inner self.
Find a calm location where you feel comfortable and where ideally you will not be disturbed during this time of journeying within yourself. Don’t forget to incorporate nice things, such as candles and incense. Perhaps you can even create a small oasis for yourself at home - an intimate corner that represents your own private "island of peacefulness" ... Make sure that during the asana practice, you have all necessary aids - for example, pillows, blocks or straps – close at hand.
Often gentle music and pleasant scents can ease the transition into the meditative state. Wear comfortable clothing. Air the room and either do not eat anything or only something light for at least two hours before. In any case, take it easy at the start. Even in yoga, master practitioners do not simply fall from the heavens. With sufficient patience, however, you will begin to feel increasingly more comfortable. Pay attention to your body and respect its limits; do not force anything, but instead enjoy the growing sense of wellbeing. For these few brief minutes of wellbeing each day, Rita Fasel will teach you three Mudras that are ideally suited to your individual needs to provide increased support and strength in your everyday life.
